Wildlife Sightings, March2020 - Covid 19 update

Wildlife Sightings, March2020 - Covid 19 update

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the government's announcement that we all must stay at home we have suspended the normal wildlife sightings section of our website. However, we would welcome reports from your own gardens and areas that you can see from your house (addresses will not be published) which will allow us to monitor the arrival of our summer migrants.

Please report your garden wildlife sightings to: birdrecords@macclesfieldrspb.org.uk

Clear photos will be welcomed.

Please everybody stay safe and healthy.

We have introduced a Spring and Summer garden wildlife survey, please follow the link to download a copy of the survey form.

COVID-19 Update

The Government has advised all clubs and societies NOT to meet during the current COVID-19 pandemic and RSPB Volunteering has reinforced this by advising us to suspend ALL Local Group activities, whether indoors or outdoors, until at least 1 September 2020. Therefore, we have no option but to cancel the following planned events and activities:

Indoor Meeting,14 April
Annual General Meeting and Members' Digital Photographs and Videos, 12 May
40th Anniversary Dinner, 21 April
Birdwatching Weekend in Northumberland, 15 - 18 May
'Walk with Nature' events planned for April, May and June
Breeding Bird Surveys at Danes Moss scheduled for April, May, June and July

We hope to rearrange some of these events for later in the year or next year when the Covid-19 crisis will have hopefully diminished sufficiently to allow them to take place safely.
