We had three fieldfare in the garden yesterday. There was also a lone redpoll yesterday evening behaving strangely by burrowing itself into the soft snow on our decking rail. It was there all night, but
unfortunately I found it dead on the ground below this morning. I can only assume it was trying to roost in the snow but was too cold to survive the night.

The garden is producing some different birds for me at the moment. Today a pair of siskins were feeding on the lawn. Yesterday I saw a fieldfare jumping up to take berries off a bush and a treecreeper was on the alder in the back garden!
