Newsletter No.12 - keeping in touch

This is our twelfth newsletter since the suspension of our regular meetings and walks programme.

If you click on the 'Download file' link (scroll down to the last line of this News item), then you will see our 2-page May 2021 newsletter.

Here are some of the contents from the first page:

"Dear All,

Hope you are well.

Our last zoom talk before the summer break is:

8th June Ben Chapple - Bears, & Big Cats; Wildlife of the Russian Far East. Ben will be talking about his trips to the east of Russia, one of the last true wildernesses left on earth.

We will be back in September - how and where is still to be confirmed - Zoom or St Mary's Hall?

Walks -
Our next walk is on Saturday 22nd May. The start time will be 4.30am on Chingford Plain. This is our dawn chorus walk - to book on the walk, please ring Richard on 07582 996315 or leave a message on our email:

Warm regards,
Your Friends on the Committee"

The newsletter also contains links to the RSPB Flatford Wildlife Garden, a very interesting write up by Marion of her visit to a little known local nature reserve, Linder's Field, plus an article encouraging everyone to go peat free to protect the planet, with links to advice by the RSPB and Wildlife Trusts.
