Amazingly, we had very fine weather and there was a group of 19 people! The majority of the attendees were new to the group. Some had prior knowledge of birding and others were brand new to birding.

We had some interesting birds such as the very noisy (and colourful) Ring Necked Parakeets, a courting pair of Grey Wagtails and the very welcome sound and sight of our returning warblers (Chiffchaffs & Blackcaps, but no Willow Warbler yet).
It lifted our spirits to see Swallows and Sand Martins, knowing that they have successfully made it back from their wintering quarters in Africa - summer must be on its way.

The birds were either singing frantically, having territorial disputes, feeding or nest building. Twas a good day for birding!

Roll on the various dawn chorus events.
