Salisbury Peregrines: Things are changing in the nest tray!

Things are changing in the nest tray! Let's remind ourselves that these 4 chicks hatched as follows - 29 April 08.15, 29 April 15.30, 30 April 08.30 and 2 May 07.00. So, they are 10, 10, 9 and 7 days old now. Three are pretty evenly sized and one is smaller so that could simply mean that the smallest is the youngest but it could be that the larger 3 are females and the tiddly one is a male. Time will tell! It's interesting that a few pin feathers are showing on the wing tips of the biggest, boldest, pushiest one and they are all preening themselves and their siblings a bit now. Urban peregrines have given us all such a golden opportunity to study growth and behaviour and even character as the young progress. Here they are chillaxing at 12.30 lunchtime in the shade; those downy duvets must be so hot!
