Volunteer Conservation Tasks at RSPB Winterbourne Downs

We have slightly delayed programming our winter work parties pending government Covid updates after Christmas, but as there have been no significant impacts on our type of activities we hope to be able to continue as planned. The downloadable PDF has dates for January, February and March tasks.

Planned tasks include plug planting for the Duke of Burgundy butterfly, butterfly bank maintenance, scrub clearance to maintain its biodiversity, hedge care & maintenance, relict chalk grassland management and care of juniper trees.

Our usual Covid safety guidelines are still in place which means that we still need to book you on to each work party, so please get in touch if you would like to join us for any of the dates. Also, please let me know if you'd like any more information.

We look forward to seeing you soon. Kind regards, Nicky Quinn. For more information and to book a place on any of these tasks please contact the RSPB Warden, Nicky Quinn by emailing nicola.quinn@rspb.org.uk or phoning 01980 629835
