This is your opportunity to gain a special insight into the day to day work of the team here at RSPB Lakenheath Fen. Join one of our wandering team as they take part in an early morning bittern survey or nest watch for approximately four hours. Your guide will provide you with all of the information that you will need about how we do surveys and nest watches here. Although sightings cannot be guaranteed, they are highly likely especially during nest watches. The local marsh harriers will also be busy passing food and feeding their hungry chicks over the reedbed and there is also a good chance of seeing bearded tits. Transport down the reserve, high seats, hot drinks and pastries will be provided. Please dress appropriately according to the weather conditions. Maximum of four people per session. Limited availability so please contact the reserve office on 01842 863400 or e-mail: lakenheath@rspb.org.uk; to book your place and to arrange payment. Price includes entrance fee for non-members.
