National Whale and Dolphin Watch Week

Saturday 24 July to Sunday 1 August

10am - 4pm

Price: Event fee covered by normal admission prices. Donations welcome

Here at RSPB Bempton Cliffs, we are taking part in the National Whale and Dolphin Watch week. We will have a watch station set up on our Bartlett Nab viewpoint with volunteers on hand watching out for and passing marine mammals. There will also be plenty of information about the creatures we see most often out on the viewpoint if the weather allows!

If you fancy having a go at seawatching, come on down to the viewpoint where our volunteer guides will talk you through how it works, the whales and dolphins spotted most often from the clifftops and what to do if you spot anything. Binoculars are a must for this activity, if you don't have your own you can hire some from our visitor centre at £7.

All sightings are reported back to the Sea Watch Foundation as part of their 'snapshot' on the UKs marine mammals. To find out more about the National Whale and Dolphin Watch Week visit the website here.
